Burger Girl is a newly opened burger restaurant in Uptown Dallas. The restaurant is located in an area with a lot of businesses and it was packed for lunch. They do have an outside patio once the restaurant fills up but we managed to get a spot inside. Burger Girl is a burger restaurant with waitresses only. It looks like they try to have a Hooters like concept, but they were not super consistent in their uniforms. The restaurant is small with maybe 15 tables inside and 15 tables outside on the patio.
For a burger place it was interesting to see that they had other items on their menu than burgers like sandwiches and salads, but who has time for that when they have burgers?
According to the menu all burgers are made from freshly ground beef and fresh hand cut potatoes for their fries.
Their burger menu was pretty simple. They had a single (1/4 lbs) or a double (1/2 lbs) burgers. They all came with lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, special sauce and your choice of cheese. They also offered a veggie burger, a “Koby” burger and the so called “Hangover” burger with a fried egg. Prices ranged from $6.99 to $11.99. All burgers came with a side of fries and they could be loaded for an extra buck.
I ordered a single burger with peppered bacon ($0.99). The waitress said that all burgers were cooked to medium unless I wanted it differently. That was perfect for me.
Considering how busy they were the wait was 10 minutes or so before the burgers came out.
The burger was wrapped in paper so it was ready to eat. Personally I am not a big fan of all the paper wrapping. I prefer the burger out in the open so I can get greasy and dirty while I am eating it, but I also recognize that some are less sloppy when eating burgers than I am.
The burger was very good. The special sauce tasted very mostly like mayo, so I am not so sure what was special about it, but it was good. The bacon was thick and had a great taste. The meat was cooked medium and was juicy and very tasty. The bun kept the burger together unlike some other places and it was no taking any taste away from the burger. Very nice!
The fries were definitely home made and seasoned generously. I personally thought they were a little to soft for my taste, but I understand that many like them like this so I will rate them to be just above average.
Burger Girl is an upcoming franchise but currently has only this location. I will recommend Burger Girl for their burgers and fries.
How to reach this restaurant?
