Burger House is a local burger chain in the Dallas area. They feature old fashioned burgers with mustard and no mayo.
I have tried a few of the location but this was a visit to a new location in Plano.
Their burger patties are 1/4 lbs so most would normally order a double and they also feature a triple burger.
I ordered a double cheese burger with bacon and everything on it. All burgers come with mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions and I also added grilled onions.
I also ordered a side of fries. Burger House is known for their special seasoned salt that they also sell separately.
The burgers were ready pretty fast within 7 minutes or so. I opened the burger and noticed that the patties were super thin and cooked well done. Personally I think it’s a petty to make patties this thin and so small since it takes the juiciness out of the burger. There is just no way it can be other than dry. And sure enough it was dry. It was also loaded with mustard which dominated the whole experience. I would order it without mustard next time. Overall the burger was alright but not something I would write home about.
The fries was seasoned as promised and the “special seasoning” was pretty much salt and cumin. I could make it at home for a fraction of the price they asked for it here. The fries were good solid fries from frozen. Again nothing special.
Burger House makes okay hamburgers but there are many other places that makes them better. Personally I like Burger King, Sonic and McDonald’s better than Burger House and I will likely not come back again.
