Burger Spot is a brand new restaurant in Dallas and refreshingly enough it is not a part of a larger chain or franchise. The concept is “All Natural Gourmet Burgers”. They use all natural meats and fresh produce from local growers. Great concept, let’s see if they can make a good burger!
The menu features a lot of different options and everything is made to order. Since I was only there for the burgers, my choices were between 13 different burgers. I choose the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger.
The order process was a bit confusing, probably because they were just opened and it took quite a long time to order even though we were the only ones there. Ok, they are having some startup issues, I guess that is understandable. I also ordered original fries with the order.
Their soft drink fountain was not having any diet Coke, that was a bummer! I got the ice tea instead.
They served us complimentary fresh popcorn while we waited and the wait was no longer than 10 minutes.
The burger was served on a nice metal plate and the blue cheese dressing was on the side so you could apply as much as you like. Nice touch. The fries were nice and seasoned well. I am not a big fan of these super thin fries, but that was what I ordered, so I can’t complain about that. The fries were definitely very good.
The burger was very good. The meat had a nice taste to it and it was cooked perfectly to my liking (medium). There was something about the burger that was just good, something that was difficult to define, like Umami if you know what I mean. I think it must have been the unbelievably crisp lettuce or tomato, but I am not sure. It was just magical.
This burger is more clean the many burgers out there. I have reviewed Twisted Root burgers before and the simplicity of the burger with the good taste is very similar the burger from Burger Spot. It might ruin your diet, but you are not over-full like when you go to some burger places. It is up to you if you like this or not, I am just saying.
I will rate this burger among the best I have reviewed yet, so go check out this place if you are hungry for burgers.
They did give us a sample of their homemade chili with natural beef and it was delicious. I included a picture also in this review.
