Many are wrongfully calling a mini hamburger for a slider but there is a distinct difference that I want you to be aware of.
I covered sliders in an earlier article in the Burgerology series. A slider is a small, sometimes square, hamburger with onions and cheese (and nothing else), and was originally popularized by White Castle. See how to make sliders here.
A mini hamburger is exactly what it says: a small hamburger. So a slider is a special kind of mini hamburgers, but it doesn’t mean that a mini hamburger is a slider.
A mini hamburger can be any burger you make today, just using smaller buns and patties.
I prefer to make the patty thicker so the burger is taller than it is wide. I absolutely love mini hamburgers. They are so cute and tasty and you can have many different ones in one sitting.
I made some mini hamburgers the other day and here is how they came out.
