THIS PLACE IS CLOSED.

This is a hole in the wall burger place. The building is so small I think there can hardly be more than 2-3 people in it. They have no inside seating and only 5 tables outside you can sit by. The restaurant is close by a busy street, so these burgers better be good.

Their menu is super straight forward with 3 burgers: Burguesa, Burguesa with cheese and La Monumental. La Monumental is built from the bottom up with cheese, patty, cheese, patty, ham, tostado, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and finally their special creamy sauce. On the very top of the burger is a whole jalapeno pepper. Bon appetite!

Prices are all including tax, which is unusual. La Monumental is only $5.00, which is very cheap. I guess they don’t pay a lot of rent in this place.

Since there is no way to get inside, you order either in their drive-thru or from a window on the side of the restaurant. We are not the only ones; I guess they got a good reputation because this is a busy place considering its size.

The burgers came after 5 minutes and they were wrapped in aluminum foil to keep them warm. The fries were super hot right out of the oil. They came with their special creamy sauce on the side.
The sauce was spicy and very tasty. The fries were so super crisp and fresh that you could tell this was the first oil their were using.

After taking the first bite, you can tell this is a Mexican inspired burger. The tostado is crisp and the avocado and especially the special sauce make you think of Mexico. It is not super spicy, but there was a kick to this burger you won’t get in a traditional burger in any other restaurant. The patties are thin like at McDonald’s and Burger King but they claim that they use never frozen beef for their burgers.

By adding the whole jalapeno to the meal, you can make this burger burn you up if you like. The burger is juicy and has a lot of condiments on it. It gets messy fast, so get a lot of napkins, but it is worth all the trouble.
I most admit I really liked the burger. It was different than any other burger I have had up till now and in a good way.

This is not the place for fine dining. You go here to get a different burger that tastes good, not to sit comfortable and relax in the restaurant.
