Elevation Burger has the philosophy that their beef is 100% USDA-certified organic, 100% grass-fed, 100% free-range beef. They also make their own fries and cook them in heart healthy olive oil.
It all sounded so go that I had to visit their new Dallas location. I am a big fan of organic beef and grass-fed beef just made me a bigger fan.
My first impression of this place was very good. They had a very clean look, the restaurant was bright, clean and inviting. Their decorations included explanations of their concept and overall philosophy and you felt good about ordering a burger here. Their staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and showed passion you don’t see at regular fast food burger places. That being said, this was a fast food style restaurant where you ordered at a counter and get the food delivered to you.
Their standard Elevation Burger was a two patty (of 3.8 oz each) two cheese burger. You could add as many toppings as you liked. I ordered their Vertigo Burger which essentially was the same as their signature burger just with more patties. I had three on mine. Another person in the party had a five patty burger (see picture below). I added ketchup, lettuce, mayo, and caramelized onions. I also ordered a side of fries and a fountain drink.
The burgers arrived with fries 10 minutes later and they sure looked good. Their buns were not made for more than two patties so I was in trouble with my three patty burger. It was difficult to handle the burger. The meat was excellent. I love grass-fed beef and this was no exception. It had a great taste and was not as filling as your regular beef you get almost everywhere else. That being said, the toppings kind of went into the background due to the many patties. I will certainly only order the two patty version next time. I blamed myself for this mistake. It was a very tasty burger but it was still not something super special. The meat was the star, the rest was just alright.
The fries were very good. They had a great taste. They were not super crispy, which is difficult when they are homemade. They were definitely well above average. The drink was also different because there was no chlorine taste in the soda. They must filter their water. Nice touch.
Overall I really like their concept. I wish more burger places would let the ingredients matter more. You absolutely have to try their burgers. Just stay at two patties or less and you won’t have the trouble I had. I would rate their burger at a 7-7.5 out of 10 but I rounded it up to 8 because of their excellent concept.
