This was a traditional pub in downtown Plano, TX.

It was pretty dark in the pub as you would expect. The menu was a traditional pub menu with a few burger options. I selected the Pub burger with cheddar cheese. I asked if they could add bacon and they could. I also asked for the burger to be cooked medium.

The burger came within 10 minutes and it looked very good. The first taste of the burger and I knew I was wrong to add the bacon. I guess the chef knew better. I took off the bacon. It was too salty and had a bad taste. After the bacon came off the burger was a delight. The burger was perfectly medium and was seared on a hot hot grill. It was very clear that this burger was grilled. The meat was very tasteful and tender. The cheese was with beer (don’t ask me how) and it was delicious.

The fries were good regular pub fries and they were very good.

All in all a great burger with solid fries. I will recommend Fillmore Pub for anyone in the Plano area.
