Five Guys advertise:
* There are over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger at Five Guys.
* They use only fresh, never frozen, ground beef.
* There are no freezers in Five Guys locations, just coolers. Nothing is ever frozen.
* They use only Peanut oil.
* Their menu is trans-fat free.

This place was busier than Grand Central Station. There were definitely more than five guys behind the counter today . Nevertheless it took only a few minutes to get through the line to order. At the counter, they have a sign saying where the potatoes are from. Today they were from Shelley, Idaho. Nice touch!
I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger for $5.99 and fries for $2.59. It comes with two patties and “all the way”, which is mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. There are additional toppings and they are all free.

They also have a Little Hamburger option with only one patty for girls and kids. All burgers are cooked well done but juicy (as their sign says). You are given a number on your receipt and you find a table to sit at. Even though this was super busy, we got a seat right away and they are very fast at making new tables ready as soon as people left.

You get ketchup and drinks by yourself at the condiment station. It took less than 10 minutes before the burgers were ready (pretty good considering how busy they were). They are served in a bag and wrapped in aluminum foil to keep them warm. So they are also ready to go, if you just want to take them home or to the office.

The burger is very juicy and the grilled onions make the burger taste unbelievably good.  The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and pickles and tomatoes are very fresh. It is a big messy hamburger unless you control it with the wrapping (which I didn’t). I had to go clean up afterwards. Even though it is cooked well done, it is still very moist and the accompanying condiments are even making it moister. The fries are above average and there are lots of them.

The place was busy but they managed to keep it very clean at all time. Tables were emptied the minute someone left and condiment and soft drink stations were spotless. The bathrooms were also clean and that usually says a lot about the restaurant.

I will definitely recommend Five Guys and I will be back soon!
