Tapenade is an intensively flavored puree of black olives and seasonings. It goes well with beef and lamb burgers. The tapenade adds deep, rich and pungent flavor to a great burger.
The recipe is very easy and all you need is a food processor and the ingredients.
Ingredients
1 cup pitted kalamata olives
2 tbsp capers, drained
2 tbsp olive oil
5 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup fresh basil
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
t tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to food processor
- Process until you have a smooth tapenade, scrape down the sides as needed
Store covered in the refrigerator. The tapernade will keep for a few weeks.
