This was a small cafe located in Plano. There are so many cafes everywhere and I wanted to try a burger in one of them.

As usual this Cafe was serving breakfast and even at lunch time people were ordering breakfast.

The menu featured a variety of 6 oz Angus Beef burgers and I settled for a Mexican Burger with avocado and jalapenos. In most cafes they don’t cook burgers to order and this cafe was no exception. That meant that the burger was cooked all the way through.

The wait was not very long, maybe 6-7 minutes. The burger was as expected cooked well done. It was a very traditional looking burger with no fancy features. And it also tasted like that. It was a burger cooked from a frozen patty, cooked all the way through with very little seasoning on it. The avocado was okay and the jalapenos were actually a little bit spicy. The burger was a regular hamburger, nothing special at all.

The fries were good old frozen fries and they were not seasoned at all. I added some salt to them, and that helped.

Gus Cafe is probably known for their breakfast and also their gyros but their burgers are average at best.

I would get something else if I have to go here again.
