Olive Burger is a relatively new burger place in Richardson, Texas. Their concept is pretty simple: Just make a great burger and not worry about being too fancy. The place looked new inside but had the “hole-in-the-wall” feel to it.

The menu was comprehensive, but I settled for the Ultimate Cheese Burger with bacon, avocado, sautéed mushrooms and all kinds of other stuff on it. I saw that we were not alone ordering this burger either. So I assumed it was popular. We got a side of fries to share also.

The wait was 10 minutes or so, which was not exactly fast, but reasonable. Oh my, it was a BIG burger. It was a ½ lbs patty but the bun was so big that the burger was just huge! Better yet, it smelled and looked awesome. The burger was really good. The meat was cooked well-done, but still juicy and the lettuce etc. were all super fresh. It was a little bit messy because of all the cheese and sauces, but it was exceptionally good. The bun stayed together through the entire meal, which was quite impressive.

The fries were good store bought fries with a nice seasoning on top. They were crisp and hot and that’s just how you make fries from frozen, if you don’t want to try the real thing. I understand and appreciate that.

I really recommend Olive Burger for their burgers. They are fresh and solid. Try them out next time you are in Richardson. You won’t regret it.
