Pluckers is a chain restaurant that is mostly know for their wings. They also carry a decent number of burgers on their menu and one of them was called “The Bypass Burger”. Once I saw that I knew I was going to try it.
The place is a typical sports bar with lots of TVs with sports on. This place had so many TVs that I could probably see 10-15 TVs regardless of the direction I was looking in. They also had TVs outside!
I ordered the bypass burger, that included 1/2 lbs patty, cheese, bacon, jalapenos and their signature sauce. Served with waffle fries on the side. I asked for mine to be cooked medium rare as usual. The wait was not too long, maybe 10 minutes or so. The burger looked really good but the lettuce on my burger was a little flat and maybe not super fresh. I took it off. The burger was really good. The meat was cooked as ordered and the jalapenos were a little hotter than normal, but I happen to love that. The bun was sweet and I really thought that would be an issue, but it was actually delicious. Cheese and bacon were both of good quality.
The fries were really good also, crisp and firm but not greasy.
I really enjoyed the burger here and I think it would have been great with a large cold beer, but I just had ice tea since it was just lunch on a week day. The lettuce dragged the rating down one grade but just ask for it without and you should be fine.
How to reach this restaurant?
