The Loon has always been on my list of places I wanted to try a burger. I have heard only good things about this place, so I was excited to finally be in the area to try it.

They only carry two burgers: The Loon Burger and The Chilli Burger. Both 8 oz. I ordered The Loon Burger with cheddar cheese and it came with a side of homemade chips. They asked how I wanted it cooked and I asked for medium rare.

It was pretty dark in this place and there were really not a whole lot of people here.

The burger came and was cut in two pieces. I saw right away that it was cooked well done. Bad mistake. That automatically deducts one grade point from my rating. Don’t ask how I want it cooked, if you are going to cook it well done!! Nuff said!!

The burger was a traditional burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard. It was just average. It was seasoned alright, but man it was just so boring. The chips was not crisp and if they were homemade, I suggest they stop making them at home. Just buy them in the store. They were just not very good.

I really don’t recommend the burger at The Loon and the other food I saw didn’t look to appetizing either. They just make the cut to an average rating. Go to a fast food place instead. It’s at least as good as here.
