The Venue (now Conway) is a traditional sports bar located just outside the new mall in Fairview. The place was deserted Friday at lunch time, which usually is a bad sign.

Their lunch menu was very small and only featured one burger. I asked if I could order from the dinner menu but I was told I just had to add things to the burger to my liking. Alright, so be it.

I ordered their lunch burger with jalapenos, bacon and pepper jack cheese. I also order chips with that.

The wait was very short, which was expected due to the lack of patrons. The burger was alright. The meat was grilled and had a nice taste to it, but the jalapenos were bland and did really add any hotness to the burger. I had to open the burger to actually see the bacon, because I could just not taste it. The cheese was also bland. I was not a big fan of this burger but since it was grilled I would say it was up my rating to average.

The chips were so so. I added some ketchup to it, and I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t know where they get their ketchup but is was absolutely horrible. I tried another ketchup and it was the same. It was completely ruining everything you put it on.

Overall, I was very disappointed. The burger just made an average rating and the fries and chips were below average. The ketchup was uneatable. Stay away from that at all cost.

I would not recommend this place. Go to the mall instead and find a much better burger at Twisted Root, Mooya or pretty much any other place.
