Tony’s Beef is not really a burger restaurant, but a sandwich and hot dog joint. Tony does carry a few burgers, but they are essentially just hotdogs served in a burger bun. The place was mostly a takeout place, but there were a few tables and chairs, so we stayed for the entire meal.

I ended up ordering Tony’s Beef sandwich. It was made from sliced beef dipped in beef juices and served with celery and hot peppers on top. I also got a side of fries.

The wait was maybe 7-8 minutes before the sandwiches came out.

The sandwich was very simple: Beef and peppers in a bun. Sure there was a celery here and there but there were not that many. The sandwich was in all its simplicity pretty good. The meat was a bit wet from the juices and it made the bun a bit soggy. Not too much, but enough to notice. The peppers were Serrano peppers, so there was a good kick to them. The fries were boring store bought fries. I would probably consider coming back fro another sandwich at Tony’s Beef if I am in the neighborhood.

If you like a simple and tasty sandwich you won’t go wrong by having one at Tony’s.
